The UBC Thunderbirds won their first ever Women's Rugby 7s Canada West banner, going a perfect 15-0 on the season and breaking the four-year dominance of Victoria Vikes after the three-stop series wrapped up at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver on Saturday afternoon.
The University of Regina's women's rugby 7s team finished in eighth place at the third Canada West tournament hosted by the University of British Columbia over the weekend in Vancouver.
