Bisons football announce commitment of CJFL National Champ, All-Canadian Michael O'Shea Jr.

The Manitoba Bisons football team has made a major splash just prior to training camp, announcing the signing of CJFL National Champion Michael O'Shea Jr.
Son of Bombers head coach Mike, the six-foot, 183-pound receiver and returner recorded over 1400 all-purpose yards and 11 majors last year for the Okanagan Sun, and was named an All-Canadian at both positions. He also scored the game-winning touchdown in the Canadian Bowl last November against Regina.
O'Shea Jr. was also an All-Canadian in his debut season with the Sun in 2021 as a returner, and was a conference all-star at receiver and returner. Prior to heading out west, he won an ANAVETS Bowl with the St. Paul's Crusaders in 2017, and attended Guelph, his dad's alma mater, after high school.
"We are extremely happy to add an elite-level receiver and returner to out locker room so late," said recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach Sean Oleksewycz.
"He has produced at every level and for every team he's played on, and we are excited for him to be a major contributor for the Bisons football program this year."
Bisons football training camp starts on August 10 with meetings and testing. On-field practice begins on August 12.
