VANCOUVER - The UBC Thunderbirds have a tough test ahead as the sixth-ranked Mt. Royal Cougars visit War Memorial Gym on Friday at 7:30pm PST and Saturday at 6:30pm PST. UBC and Mt. Royal have eight wins apiece on the season, but the Cougars (8-4) sit at fifth in the Canada West with two games in hand on the sixth place 'Birds (8-6).

Heat look to hold off the invading Spartans

KELOWNA - A big task looms ahead for the UBC Okanagan men's volleyball team as they host the top ranked team in the country for a pair of matches this weekend. The No. 1 Trinity Western Spartans are (13-1) and will play the home Heat Friday with a first serve at 8 p.m. and then on Saturday at 7 p.m.
