Thunderbirds take unbeaten streak into weekend matchup with UBCO

VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds men's basketball team (6-0) will seek to add to their impressive six-game win streak when they host the struggling UBCO Heat (1-7) this weekend at UBC's War Memorial Gym. The games will take place on Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. (PT) and Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. (PT).

Undefeated U of A hoops take on Griffins

EDMONTON – The undefeated University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas basketball teams will close the first half of the 2016-17 season with a home-and-home series against their inter-city rivals, the MacEwan Griffins this weekend at both the Saville Community Sports Centre, and the MacEwan City Centre Gym.
The weekend series will mark the first time the two Edmonton university programs will meet in Canada West conference play.

CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos face city foes in their second straight split series of the season this week. They'll play the Mount Royal Cougars as the road team on Thursday before hosting them on Saturday night in their last game of 2016 at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium.

Battle of 4-2 teams as Cougars host Saskatchewan

REGINA – Two of the three teams mired in a tie for fifth place in the Canada West standings battle this weekend in Regina, as the University of Regina's men's basketball team hosts the Saskatchewan Huskies on Friday night (8 p.m.) and Saturday night (8 p.m.) at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport.
