Rookie forward Connor Gay had a big weekend for the Saskatchewan Huskies at the University Cup in Fredericton, N.B. The former Saskatoon Blade finished as Saskatchewan’s leading scorer, registering a goal and four assists over three games, as the Huskies finished with national silver after a 5-3 loss to UNB in the national final.

Gay, who registered nine points in as many regular season games, stepped his game up over the Canada West playoffs and into the University Cup, finishing the post-season with a combined 10 points in eight games.
